... to the flight itself.
I gotta say. By the time I got out of the plane in Paris my armpits had reached critical mass. I didn't even want to sit near me. But there was nothing I could do. A quick bathroom wash i'm not sure helped but I felt I had at least tried.
Paris was as always, uneventful. Good free wifi but it doesn't work in the smoking room.
A short stop there and onto the plane to Edinburgh.
I was feeling pretty tired now. The hangover ...

Oh dinghy, wherefore art thou??

... the house. But was we got closer it was a certainty. Against all odds we had found it. It had come back in through the islands on the next flood tide and beached itself with its painter rope snagged on the rocks.

By the end of the day we were stocked up with two types of mangoes, watermelon, little bananas, pineapples, and limes in abundance. We were so impressed by their techniques (pot hole farming - they ...

The morning of February 18, 2013 dawned with the previous day's frontal boundary well southeast of us and the signal to depart our cold front refuge in French Bay, San Salvador. With forecast winds being NE at 20-25 kts, we prepared to depart for West Bay, Conception Island, a passage of approximately 38nm due west. Seas were forecast to be quite confused due to the prior frontal passage, but since we'd be sailing almost directly downwind, ...

We spent just one night at Fernandez Bay and departed at 0830 on Tuesday, December 4th, for a 12nm sail north to a settlement called The Bluff. This was one of those fabulous sails in shallow flat water about mile off the coast. We set the 1st reef in the main and full genoa for the beam reach in 15-20 kts. Water depths were 9 to 25 feet and the easily seen rocks and coral heads on the bottom ...
