      ... in Tennessee, but would love to be able to live back here. She helped us with directions and drove away. A while later down the road she was stopped with some apples and her business card. Her name is Michele and she is a lieutenant in a Tennessee police department. She showed us her card and badge so we knew the apples were safe to eat. How nice of her and how naive of us to never question whether or not they would be safe.

      ... all night about losing a day of riding. I was hoping to get to see Debbie, but with all our planning and getting ready, she was too far away. We traveled back and forth between Ohio River towns to find topo maps.       The return happens. We are back in Louisville, truck rental, storage shed to pick up bikes, close out rental agreement, and we are off. Scott has chosen a route longitudinally exact, (he could have fudged a few miles), north of Kentucky.
