Not a Good choice for family

For $200/ can get all accommodations at Las Vegas...the room is build can hear people above you and you can tell when the next door or upstair were using the can stay at the other hotels and get same accomodations with less cost...since they call "convention hotel" , they arent really concern about family...they profit coming from conventional people(group of meeting) service is horrible...we were trying to contact the manager of the hotel..but we didnt hear anything from him/ for us...I do not recommended this hotel for any circumstances...

    Great Wolf A Great Place!

We've stayed at pretty much all of the resorts in town, and we've come to the conclusion that the Great Wolf Lodge is the best for our money. Everything they have is geared for our children, and they simply love it. Other places seem confused on who they are trying to appeal to. The New Attraction "Wiley's Woods' Is an incredible addition to an already GREAT Resort! Totally uniques to the Dells area, and totally innovative period. We were greeting promptly soon after entering, and were showed around and taught how to play by an attendant, not some instruction sheet. The young man taught us how to play, and even played with my kids. He even showed us to A 3-D Theatre in another part of the Resort that we hadn't noticed, and told us all about it. Employees like that made our stay more enjoyable. They all seemed to be willing to help, and Incredibly nice. AAA+++!!!

    An all in one Complex

We stayed at Great Wolf Lodge during the week and it was great. We decided on during the week because the rate is a lot better and relatives who have been there say it is not as busy. The room was clean and had a fridge, microwave and coffee pot. The room did not provide enough towels for all 6 of us to take showers. They did provide eough bedding and pillows. The hotel is beautiful and in good shape inside and out. The Deep Woods Cabin atmosphere is relaxing and funto explore. There was a blizzard outside and we were running around in our bathing suits inside. Very Cool. The water park was above average. The give you wrist bands. {My sister-in-law scratched her little boy when catching him off the slide...with it being on her wrist. I suggest putting them on the ankle.} It doesn't get in the way when you are in the water park. They have a variety of slides to use. No need to bring water tubes, they have plenty. The water was nice and warm. You could just walk in and it was easy to get use too. The water in the kiddy area is a little warmer. (I have been to water parks where the pool water was cold....not very fun) They have lifeguards all over and they seem to be really watching the area they are in charge of. (Sometimes you get life guards that are more interested in their social life.) The air was a little cold when you got... but not too bad. They provide towels for you at the Water park and to Shower afterwards. They are extremely small and do not cover the body. You get one per person. I'd advise bring some down from the room or bringing your own. There is an awesome gameroom but I thought the games were expensive. There are a lot of things for the kids to do. The food is average and expensive. They do have close restaurants near by that offer good food cheaper. Some of the staff were snippy and not helpful. I like the fact that everything was in one complex -- Wiley Woods, a huge ball pit for good dry fun, Water Park, Little Store and restaurant, Story time by an au want them. Overall it was a great 2 days there and worth the money. Tina

    Great time at great wolf

We had stayed at the Kalahari and the Great Wolf Lodge recently. The

Kalahari was beautiful and offered a variety of activities at the pool.

However many of the slides were just too big or scary for our 5 and 7

yr olds. One slide ends with a spin around a "bowl", but then you drop

right out of the bottom into a deep pool. We weren't aware of that and

our 7 year old was panicky/upset afterward. The Great Wolf was more

young kid friendly. They could go around the lazy river and take their

raft up to the slide themselves. And there was so much for them to do

on the other side with the rope climbing fortress that they were happy

for hours! I would recommend either one.

    Disappointed by the Wolf

Just returned from Great Wolf over March 1st weekend. We looked forward to this for months but were greatly disappointed. What we hoped would be a fun relaxing weekend was more like crowded chaos. Booked to capacity on this weekend, the rooms were not clean, the service was poor and without apologies, and the swarms of people overwhelming. Both water park areas were jammed to capacity, forget about getting a table, there are not enough. The water and air temp were too cold for my 2, 6, and 11 year old boys to enjoy for long. They were shivering. Back at the room, the bathroom situation is a joke, the only female traveling with three sons and a husband I had to change clothes over the toilet in an otherwise soaked bathroom, and because the sink is out in the room you have to wash your hands in the tub if your children are still sleeping. Don't be fooled by the online pictures, it is much smaller than it looks. We were supposed to stay two nights, we left after only one. I really wanted this to work. The place has great potential but must have some management problems. If you really want to go, I suggest calling the hotel to find out what their slowest weekday period is and try booking for then. Forget going on a weekend.

    Go To The Great Wolf!

We have been going to the Dells ever sence we needed someplace to stay after our trip to Kentucky. The Great Wolf Lodge is the best we've every stayed at. The waterparks are perfect for kids and teenagers of all ages. The big bucket was very fun for the little ones. The water slides are the greatest I've ever been on. If you ever want to stay at the Dells for the summer go to The Great Wolf Lodge!

Great wolf not as great as could be

We've stayed at the Great Wolf three separate times and our last stay was pretty disappointing. we had reservations and the room was not ready as promised. the food in the restaurant was abominable, the staff acted as though they were really being put upon when you asked questions. instead of a room service menu in the room you have to call and they send someone up with a menu and stand there until you decide what you want and then it takes way too much time to provide the service. you would think that when you have four people in a room you'd get four sets of towels, but this is not the case and getting more towels is like an inquisition. sorry to say every trip back gets to be less enjoyable. i think we'll try somewhere else next time.

    Loved the waterparks

It has the BEST water parks!!!!

    Great for a Family Getaway!!!

    We, stayed there this summer.

It was our first time visiting WI, and we picked

the BEST hotel there after seeing the rest.

The staff was friendly and they acomodate you in any way that they can. We plan to go again next summer and we will take more people with us so that they may experience what we did.

    Great Wolf Lodge rules!

We recently stayed at Great Wolf Lodge and it was wonderful. The rooms are clean and the hotel is well taken care of. The "woodsy" atmosphere is relaxing. There is an awesome gameroom and the waterpark is one of the best in the dells. (We've stayed at several others). There are alot of things for the kids to do. The food is also above average. This is a great place to check into for a stay and have everything within one complex and not have to leave (gift shop, food, fun).

... Campground in Landon Station Wisconsin near the Dells. We are the only ones in the park that aren't seasonal or residents. Great WiFi because no one is here! The owner stopped by and said after this coming graduation weekend the park will be full. It's park like with tall pines. We will decide our next stop tonight somewhere in Minnesota. We are filling up our US map. The Eastern seaboard is not completed ...

    Wisconsin State - "America's Dairyland"

Decided to break the trip through to Minneapolis so stayed halfway at Wisconsin Dells. Reminded us of Pigeon Forge with amusement and water parks everywhere. A real summer holiday spot for the tourists. Population is 2600 but one hotel alone (Mt Olympus) advertised 1500 rooms.

We have now finally started the trip!

After a day at the factory and some extra effort this AM. The factory has got, I hope, all of Tina's problems solved. Left Decatur, IN at 9:30 this AM. Drove 435 miles today. So we have driven 1050 miles on our trip.
It was 41 degrees this AM when we went out.

The scenery is repetitive- corn fields as far as the eye can see. Less than exciting.

Susan slept well since she was tired from sleeping in the car? What? Oh well.
The dells is a beautiful resort area. It must be packed in season. We head west across I 90. The lilacs are in full bloom on huge tree like shrubs! Dirt is brown to black and freshly planted with fields already showing the life cycle of death to life. We see cranberry bogs too. Some highways are marked by letters rather than numbers, like hwy. HH. Gas is about ...

... you can tell we must prefer nature over charming villages.

The one thing I had to do was find the singing sand at Whitefish beach. It didn't take long, the first step off the boardwalk it was there. It was so. cool. I walked along and it was not a squeak, but a note, I sat down and rubbed it back and forth while it hummed... so strange. Then we drove over to ...
