    Indeed I do have a headache and feel tired, and just want this section to end. The surface is now undulating slightly, and just as I get to the crest of one mound, certain that this is near the end, I see that there is at least another kilometre or so spreading out ahead of me.     We drove in the direction of Lake Tahoe. The road was not too crowded, we first drove through Napa valley, but didn't stop anywhere. Our final destination, Tahoe City, was pretty far. Only exception was Sacramento, California's capital, to have a coffee and make a tour at the Old Downton, a far west town with saloons and wooden houses. Very touristic and not worth the stop.     ... from our ski instructor. He was a really nice guy and in the end it was just Pete and me as the girl we were with got nervous and went back to the lodge. We got through basics, a beginner slope and then an intermediate. Pete was a natural and took to more risk taking than me rather quickly. The intermediate was enough for me and at the end of the day left Pete to the black run while I practised my form. I enjoyed it ...

    ... Is to prevent bears getting in them. There were a few in town last night apparently. Have not seen any yet - was hoping to see some at Yellowstone as they have both the brown and grizzly.
