    ... into 4 plastic cups (oh yes, we know how to party!) and swam in the afternoon sunshine with the beautiful pine trees towering over us. To wash down the remainder of the bubbles, we hit the warm indoor Jacuzzi.



    We knew both sets of bubbles were going to Carol's head when she commented how nice the jets were going up her bum...WOAH there Mrs Smith 1, time to sober up and get ready ...

    ... there. We continued on to lake Tahoe, where we had plans of camping over night. We found our camping area and they had closed for the season. So we were thrown into kaos. We drove further down the road and found another campsite. It was really cool, across the road from the lake, you could hear the water splashing up on the shoreline. So we set up camp, lit a great fir, cooked up some snags and enjoyed a an evening, almost, by the waters ...

    ... woke the kids up in a deep sleep. They were ready to go relatively quickly and off we set. We checked them in to ski school and waved them off with nervous smiles (all of us)... Then Pete and I got lost in our own world. We got our gear and a lesson which ended up being for the day. Luckily Pete is a patient man as I thought he was going to get frustrated as we were painstakingly told a lot of details about snow, skiing ...

    Had quick look around Sacremento - nothing there accept the state capitol building. Took the tour then drove to Lake Tahoe. Was walking around the lake tonight as it was getting dark and caught first site of a bat. There were quite a few small ones buzzing by. The rubbish tins around here all have covers on them that have to be opened by putting your hand in the lid and pulling up ...
