So we will probably never know what caused my hand to swell up like that, only that the drugs I had received were worth each and every penny. The swelling went down noticeably a few hours after popping a delicious cocktail of heavy-duty antibiotics, anti-inflammatories, and a mix of mai tais and pina coladas. Hooray for Blue Cross!!! ...
