February, 1997Larry and I went to Maui and stayed at the Grand Waelea Hotel and Resort. This was the most fabulous spa ever! I had a massage in a room overlooking the ocean. ... had the same idea. We dove off a boat and snorkelled through a marine reserve called Molokini. I was particularly impressed with Marie’s achievements swimming in the open sea, as she’s probably the only human I know who may not have evolved from a fish. We drank, and later ate in a fantastic bar owned by Mick Fleetwood. We loved it. Totally loved it. So it was sad to leave and head back to Waikiki for the final three days.

... the step about reading up again on how exactly the camera on the mask worked.....! So....some good pictures, but some of my best moments didn't come out so well on the camera. It was great though, an underwater aquarium at the tip. Gorgeous water too. Headed back to make dinner and watch another great sunset! Off to the Gazebo restaurant and Napili tomorrow - should see turtles there :).

When we are home we’ll add more photos and the last 2 days. Using the internet has been quite a mission and extremely expensive.
Tonight’s show was A Night at the Palladium with the singers and dancers.It was another really good show.
It was also our last formal night, so we took photos of us in our finery. Dressing up has been fun, but we’ll enjoy eating dinner at home wearing ...
... by the end of the lesson ... But both grinning from ear to ear. We returned to our airbnb room in kihei and cooked a spag Bol and had a siesta. After waking up we drove a few miles down the coast to check out one of Maui's most famous beaches- Big beach. I played in the surf while trying not to get dragged under by the current and watched the Hawaiian sunset. We finished the day with a BBQ, before resting our tired bones and dreaming of the perfect ...
