We went back to our hotel and got ready for our Luau. We went to the Old Lahaina Luau. We read that this was the most authentic luau on all the islands. We booked the luau several months ago and also reserved seats on the ground at low tables right at the front of the stage. We had fantastic seats! ... 50-100 whales and 1 very large amazing sea turtle. The captain called the channel one giant pot of whale soup, which is such a perfect description. Super cool and a great way to start our day.
I've gone whale watching a handful of times and am amazed how focused people are on taking pictures. 1) the internet is full of pictures 2) the one or two whales you see should be with your eyes not through a lens 3) you never get a picture. The photo ends up being ...
