          Last Great Day/Eighth Day

In the afternoon leading into the Last Great Day, we went back to Jungle Jim's to purchase some more special foods, some of them for gifts. Then we went back to the mall to look for some shoes for Martin. As it turned out, all four of us ended up buying some shoes, although Martin didn't find his in the mall, but in Marshall's nearby. It is dangerous for me to enter a shoe store, as I will often find something I like, and I have enough pairs of ...

... willing. :) Today we three are singing in a trio, and we decided to all wear purple. I didn't bring a purple dress, so I am borrowing one of Heidi's. Seems like H&H brought tons of clothes to the Feast!

Tonight there will be a special hymn-sing after sundown, which I am looking forward to very much. It reminds me again of the wonderful hymn-along we had at the Greensboro Women's Weekend! I enjoy singing, especially ...

... is to go there before 7 am. Not a problem, since we are up before then anyway. I am glad we don't have to look for a laundrymat and drag all our clothes there and back.

Well, it's getting late and I should put some pics up here then go to bed. We have 8:30 am choir practice tomorrow morning again. It is a very small Feast choir, so I'm glad we are able to contribute. There are only two other ladies besides myself who are alto.

          Goodnight everyone!

          ... during the sermon.

We had a delicious buffet breakfast this morning, in one of the hotel restaurants. We had been given 18 "free" tickets for 4 people for the whole Feast, so we'll make up the balance by eating our own cereal, etc. in our room. But it will be convenient to save four of the meal tickets for the Last Great Day.

After breakfast we did some Bible Study and I worked on this travel blog. Then it was time to get a quick lunch ...

We left our house just before 9 am on the Sabbath (26th) and drove to the Knoxville UCG congregation. It was easy to find the location, a high quality conference center with various different rooms, often apparently used for weddings, etc. Mr. Stan Martin, the pastor, was already in Jekyll Island, since he coordinates the Feast there this year.

Lacy & Frances Mayes were there, and later, Barbara & Madalene arrived. They had already ...
