As we are close to the life size X-Wing, we take the opportunity to get some better family photos today, as we are all much less jetlagged and we also realise we didn’t really walk around it properly. We check out the model a bit more, but unfortunately, it is getting close ...
Today was spent walking around the amazing San Diego zoo......we saw Pandas, polar bears, koala bears, tigers, giraffes and lots more. We eat at Phils BBQ tonight off man vs food. After a 45 que I said this better be worth it and Daniel said it will I'm sure and Oh boy was he right , just look at the pictures for portions sizes and yes we cleared it all bar a few ...
... and people watching. San Diego has a lot of bars/resturaunts which were all hopping with the post marathon crowds and the scantily clad crowds waiting to enter the Hard Rock Hotel. A quick stop by PetCo Park and it was time to find a place to sleep. With no nearby camping options we booked a hotel online and headed north a bit.
With dinner from a vending machine (it's vacation!), we settle in to stream the comedy show Arrested Development.
... place to unwind and catch up, however the food was good and lots of beer choices.
After Pizza Port we went to a new bar that was opened and doing beers and cocktails, Bar 21. we enjoyed dessert and the boys enjoyed some craft beers, before heading on a mini pub crawl/tour of the Carlsbad night life! really pleasant and chilled evening. and Carlsbad was totally lush and thanks to Greg and Laura for helping us with this night out! x
