Grand Luang Prabang

Getting out of my lazy sleep I rolled out of bed still half asleep, lacking the sleep I had missed over the previous few days, I struggled to get ready. Hannah, Dan and me went to grab baguettes, Hannah said she would wait for the bus ust in acse it arrives early. 10 minutes later she came walking back, telling us the bus had arrived and to step on it,, we briskly walked, Dan with baguettes in hand and me trailing behind ...

... with the infection, I felt nauseas with the pain and cursed the fact
that while I brought a whole array of bandages and creams I had
neglected to bring any painkillers and even the promise of
spectacular views on the Trip to Vang Viang could not install any
enthusiasm for the trip, luckily for me there was a Angel on board
the Bus in the shape of a half Scottish/Japanese girl from the Slow
Boat who had ibuprofen , that killed the pain and ...

... to the animals in their care – it reminded us of an
article we read in the Washington Post about the relationship an
employee had with a hippo that was slated to move from the National
Zoo in DC to the midwest.




To
round out the day we watched the sunset at the temples at Phu Si –
which involved a 100m high climb. All the way up the Lion King song
was in our heads from the elephant ride.

... also on the bus with us. We ended up having to pay the guy in a minivan to take us the 3hour trip to LuangPrabang even though he was going that way anyway! Oh-well! We arrived at about 9pm at night, and straight away headed for the night market for some grub!

We are having an amazing time in LuangPrabang, Laos. This country is just so beautiful, we are enjoying it so much more then China. We have been here 5 days so far and plan on staying another 3 days, which is the ...
