      ... turn or two off route indeed. But not so. I am taking the UP of Michigan to Sault St Marie and crossing into Canada in the coming week or two. From there, it will be mostly highway 17 to Montreal and Quebec City down through Maine to New York. This all came about very simply.       We are eating dinner at a gas station in Clam Lake. 60 miles so far. It's a really nice road, but really windy and lots of hills. It's seems like we are always climbing but we are never going down. We went through elk country. Right now we are making dinner. That's it for now. ~Maeve We have saw so many deer today! In fact once we got about 10 feet from one! I am eating ramen noodles for dinner, Maeve has spam! We have 18 miles to go until the campsite. That's it for now, BYE ...
