With luck, I will be back in Australia in a couple of months to finalise things and make a permanent move. After a few days in Manila, I'll head south to explore the Philippines, looking for beaches, locals, beer and a new home. Stay with me for a while and I'll tell you how it goes. It said I needed an original birth certificate like you take that on holiday with you and someone to verify you. Who would that be then. She said police station would do it. ... point. Finally found a coffee shop with a power point near a table, and realised I needed an Asian adapter! 78 Malaysian Ringgit later (NZ$30), I am charging my phone and drinking an iced coffee. Am already pleased for my small backpack - I don't have to queue for luggage and I'm getting used to lugging it around. Next stop, ...
