... to work off some of my energy. I was given 15 minutes, and it was enough. The pontoon bridges were (to me) beautiful; it was fun to walk and bounce my way along to the other side, and then, of course, back again. ... children trying to help them. The grew corn and made all their own food. They did not require relocation. The house next door was built for a relocated family (15 years ago) and compared to their neighbour, it was very spacious. However you had to wonder at the workmanship and longevity of the house for the future as it was quite poorly built (Phil's opinion - he inspected it!!). ... good, and the costumes and dresses were lovely. Very talented crew! The night was spoiled, however, after a game of Musical chairs had been played to entertain the kids – the prize for first and second were sketches done by the ship's artist, who then proceeded with a live auction of some of his work! Most people left at that stage, which was a bit of an anti-climax to an otherwise entertaining evening.

I had failed to mention that since we had arrived it had been raining continuously which Charlie said was very welcome as the temperature had been as high as 40 degrees so the rain had cooled the place down a lot.

We got out at the zoo where Charlie also explained that as our sole reason for visiting the zoo was to see the Giant Pandas that we were in luck as the Pandas had been sheltering inside their caves from the heat of the previous days. ...
