    On Thursday we had a relaxing day. Alex had some business to do, so mom and I stayed at her house all morning, eating breakfast and such. At noon mom drove us to the feedlot. She was pretty excited about driving a pickup. And we drove along the long roads and listened to country music. We felt very American.     Our time here at Austen and Chandler's has been revelational. Bless Shannon’s heart it is difficult to be sick, but it is another level being sick on the road.
