... clutched in their hands. That was us just a few weeks prior. We landed at 0850 and had our bags and through customs by 0925. The new electronic passport recognition is up and runnung. You put the photo page of your passport under a scanner and get a ticket. You then put this ticket in the turnstyle and face a camera at the exit gate for 10 seconds. It then takes about 30 seconds while it compares you to the data base and you are ...
Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia gilmoregirlsSo we finally got on the road....in the Kombi. It was a late arrival after a long day but the final destination was worth it. Peregian Beach Caravan Park is the only Caravan Park on the beach, on the Sunshine Coast that allows pets.
After getting off work and all the running around for over a week the sound of the rolling waves from just across the road was bliss.
We had two ...

Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia caityjaned... in Coolum beach. He gave us shelter and borrowed us his Van in which we slept another night, he showed us around and got us freshly picked fruit in the morning! We went fishing with Carl and watched a surfing tournament on Noosa beach. Damn, good times!
Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia raoul_far_aus... lunch and then again for some sensationally sinful indulgence at a little chocolaterie. If you recall, we had intended to invigorate ourselves in the Glass House Mountains... Well, by the time we got there we were not feeling so athletic nor ambitious. It's strange how that happened... couldn't have been the big lunch followed by a chocolate overdose, surely! We did manage an 800metre stroll around a mild-mannered trail at the lookout point in the mountains. And ...
Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia jammer32... of growing it out, but is not yet too bad. I also used my time in Noosa to go to the movies and finally see the film Australia. I really enjoyed it and do not see why Kidman is getting such bad reviews. She wasn't great, but it wasn't bad. It is a tad cheesy, but I enjoyed it, especially with being here. My traveling goes into high gear again tomorrow with a 3 day trip to Fraser Island.
Noosa, Australia joergenI want to live here. Noosa and surrounding area sits where the Noosa river meets the sea, and is the first proper spot where you can dive into that inviting sea without being dressed head to toe in a stinger suit. Great cafes, shops, beaches, fishing, and a particularly good jam session in Murphy's pub on a Tuesday, where Irish musicians from around the region get together to play some tunes for a few beers. Caught me some Bream here - nice eating. Coming back.
Noosa, Australia twogypsies... night I was approached by a local radio dj who does a thursday night radio show called "Backpacker Radio" He invited me onto the show to discuss America, get my thoughts on Australia, and to pick a few songsto play. I had a ton of fun!!! I returned to the hostel, ate some food and had an early night. November 30th - Today I spent the entire day at the Steve Irwin ...
Noosa, Australia ishillerI awoke as usual to the sound of rain pouring on a metal garage roof. I got into Australia on Tuesday morning, after roughly thirty-two hours of travel from Huntsville, Alabama to find the Sunshine Coast besieged by swarthy gray clouds bearing torrential rains and fearsome winds. I have yet to see the sun's rays and can only trust the dubious wisdom of whomever gave name to this new home of my Aunt Jane and Uncle Neil. So now I am on my third day here on the ...
