Maria had to wait for ten minutes for another guide to pick her up and bring her down which happened as we found out later. Rach and I were woken up at 7am by my dreaded alarm (which I snoozed twice before we finally got up in the oven which was our beach hut for 5 nights). Fortunately, rather than going back to the mainland to island hop to Koh Kood, we were able to get a speed boat straight there from Koh Chang. The trip took 2 hours and cost 900 baht per person - to put that in perspective, 900 baht is roughly £17 and the single most expensive item we have paid for to date... we love this country!
