With that we were up before dawn to catch our 7am flight back to Italy connecting through Qatar and thus finished an incredible two weeks of sailing, that offered so much more. A trip that every sailor should attempt at least once in their life.

... The coral heads are some of the best I’ve seen on the trip, making for a fine snorkel.
Once back on the boat, we half-heartedly attempt to set a stern anchor so that we’d have our bow set into the waves which caused a substantial amount of roll our first night. Feeling we were setting it too close ...
Beau Vallon – Baie Ternary – Port Launay
Another great sail as we head southwest along the west coast of Mahe with steady 17-22k southeastern tradewinds. Our first stop will be Baie Ternay for lunch and a snorkel.
As we approach the bay the wind is being funneled to the mid 20s as we spot a mooring ball. Once settled in, Lisa and Marcello ...

Today will be an interesting day for me as I have a "fear" of birds. Yep, it started with Alfred Hitcocks “The Birds” was enhanced by pigeon attacks while riding my bike growing up in Brooklyn and crow attacks while running after class in northern California. I plan to conquer that fear on the bird sanctuary of Ill Cousine.

... have no problem getting off in time to moor at Il Moyenne. That settled, back to the hotel to rest-up and prepare for creole dinner at Marie Antoinette. What a great fixed creole meal, served in an old plantation house, highly recommended for those who want a rather simple yet local dining experience.

... Linda arrive and we have apero on our terrace. Mark brought a CD with the underwater pictures. I am very happy with them. Afterwards we go for a meal in the restaurant of our hotel. They are lovely people. I carefully tell people we dove like, half of the world. They can tell that they dove the world. I have the feeling, we did not even hear a little part of the stories, when they leave. Tomorrow, our final day of diving in the Seychelles.
Beau Vallon, Seychelles Islands tonyandmarina... so ridiculously rough outside it. The ferry itself had 200 or so auditorium style seats inside an air-conditioned room. Each seat had a seat back pocket with a motion sickness bag (first sign of things to come), which I didn't notice when we sat down. There were automatic air fresheners bolted to the wall on each side of the room, which I also didn't notice (second sign of things to come). As soon as the ferry rounded the corner out of the harbor, and it started to get a bit ...
