The funniest moment was when I saw my older brother who has never been skiing before try and go up the t-lift and his board got caught in the life and was dragging him up the hill. Thankfully he was all fine.

Historical Traveler Reviews Four Seasons Resort And Residences Whistler

My Girlfriend and I stayed at Whistler 12/9/04 - 12/12/04 and it was great. The hotel just opened in July, so everything was brand new. The room had a romantic fireplace and nice large bathroom. The service, as always at Four Seasons, was impeccable. I'm not much of a cold weather traveler, but I thoroughly enjoyed this trip, mainly because of the Four Seasons. The food and service at the 5280 Bistro was excellent and you must have a hot chocolate in front of the fireplace to complete your stay.

    Spa - Just so-so

To clarify - I did not stay overnight at the Four Seasons, however, I have eaten dinner twice, had many of drinks in the bar and had a massage in the Spa. The Spa was quite disappointing - my "relaxation" massage was anything but - I had a very nice women who did teach me how to relax by breathing a certain way and such, but she was so rough and worked very fast (did get a full hour though). Also, the spa "relaxation room" was bright and awkward. There were windows to the outside and it felt like a small office waiting area (your sitting in your robes with men and women). Finally, 4 out of 5 restrooms were out of TP (I found this out too late and it was still this way after my 1 hour massage) and at first my locker had not been cleaned out of the previous persons towels/sandals and such. It's all not a really big deal, but at about $130 CAD, this just didn't sit right with me. After my massage, we went to the bar and it was very crowded - unfortunately, our drinks took forever! We got our food before our drinks, that's how understaffed they were. I saw a few people leave because they waited so long. My first dining experience was exceptional and the staff has always been very, very nice and professional - it seems like just a few kinks to work out. It's a beautiful hotel and the rooms look very comfortable yet modern (we took a tour).

    Had a wonderful family vacation!

We stayed at the Four Seasons Whistler from 11/20-11/23/04 and had a wonderful time! The staff was extremely attentive and the resort and room were exceptional!! We have stayed at many fine hotels in the past, but this one is outstanding. During our trip we also stayed at the Chateau Whister for 3 nights. Let me tell you, the Chateau doesn't even come close to the Four Seasons. If you are looking to be pampered go to the Four Seasons. We are planning another trip to the Four Seasons Aviara in Carlsbad, CA next month. We love the Four Seasons!!

    Loved It!

We stayed at the Four Seasons from November 11-14 and I have never stayed at a Four Seasons before. This hotel was so fabulous it has ruined me for staying at any other chain. The Service was fabulous, the food... perfection and our room was stunning. My husband and I visited the spa and I had a facial while my husband enjoyed a massage.

Both were top notch. The only tiny negative I would complain about was the cost of parking. I'm not a cheap person but I felt a bit gouged by the cost of self parking ( $23 + tax). I would highly recommend this hotel as it is far and above better than the Fairmont Whistler.

    Pefection in Whistler

On the drive into to Whistler you know that you have found a little bit of heaven. The scenic drive from Vancouver is magnificent - like no other drive in the northwest! And the Four Seasons, recently opened, is the perfect location for a romantic getaway in Whistler. The resort is so warmly rustic - yet intimate and refined too. The 4-S staff treats everyone like royalty... which is their hallmark. They made our stay memorable: steaming our milk for our coffee every morning, even sending complementary champagne and truffles to our room for our anniversary! Our advice is treat yourself to the premiere room ... the large room, oversized balcony, cozy fireplace, and the spectacular view of the mountains make it worth every penny. Spring for the bed & breakfast as the huge delicious "mile high" will serve as both breakfast & lunch. Late October offered us chilly nights but the sun was shining every day. The village was serene - no crowds! Due to the fact that it was slow season we had three course meals at the hotel for the incredible price of $34 CA! Village restaurants offered freebies, discounts, 5-course tastings, and no wait for a table! The spa at the 4 Seasons had 25% off treatments. The foot reflexology was the perfect way to start the day. Hikes around the lakes, falls and scenic drives are plenty to fill the days. Dress is resort casual... everywhere so pack your jeans and hiking boots. We felt welcome in Whistler and the locals are friendly and engaging. Whistler is an ideal location to spend three days if you just need to get away from everything...and the Four Seasons is a magical place indeed!

The Four Seasons Whistler was delightful!

We spent a long weekend at the new Four Seasons Whistler in early October, 2004. The hotel offers a great promotion where you stay 2 nights and the 3rd. night is free. You can't beat that promotional deal! I can't say enough nice things about the hotel, the staff, the area, the weather, etc. Our room was fabulous, though I think the parking fee was overpriced even in the self parking area of the hotel garage. Other than the fee to park in the hotel garage, there was absolutely nothing to complain about! I could not have asked for better service or attention to detail. The location is away from the hub of the main village area; but we liked that. You will be pleased with your decision to stay at this Four Seasons. We loved it more than we could have possibly imagined. From Whistler, we took the ferry to Nanaimo and then drove 4 hours to Tofino to stay at the Wickaninnish Inn. What a trip. Both hotels were out of this world! You won't find greater hospitality anywhere in the area than at either of these hotels. Both hotels easily WOWed us.

The Four Seasons is Top Notch

My family stayed at the resort for 8 nights at the end of August. The hotel is beautiful and the staff was excellent. They were kid friendly and went out of their way to meet any and all of our needs. My two young girls had a great time and are likely spoiled in that few hotels will cater to them as this one did. It is head and shoulders better than the Fairmount which I have previously frequented. The Four Seasons is the class of Whistler.

    Great stay.

Had a lovely stay there in mid August. Service was indeed excellent -- hotel staff without exception were friendly, courteous and attentive. Rooms were beautiful, huge bathrooms, walk in wardrobes, ultra comfortable bed with very nice Italian bedlinen, indulgent L'Occitane toiletries. Nice gym too.

    Just beautiful..

Wow, this is heaven on earth...everything was so gorgeous. Our suite was huge and fully stocked with every possible amenity. Staff was friendly and courteous. The only possible drawback is that it is about a 15 minute walk to town, but the scenery is so beautiful we didn't mind. I would recommend this resort on every level.

Very nice property, and great service.

    Very nice...

    Service was a 10!

We visited the second week that the property was open... that was our problem, as most of the rooms were still under construction and they were apparently working out the kinks. The electricity went down a few times and early morning construction took place which was not nice. You would think they would not have had the place open just yet.

Staff was #1! Well, we were one of about 10 guest at the entire property so it was to be expected. I would recommend this resort as I you can see it will be amazing once all is 100%

We took it very easy in Whistler on Day 1 and treated ourselves to a sleep in! (Mind you we did wake up at 7 am to send Michael midnight birthday wishes for his thirtieth.) The beautiful suite at the Four Seasons was made to order for this leisurely start to the day...there is just so much room and the lounge room and fire work even when the …

We stopped in Squamish (which was crazy busy!) for lunch at a food truck called Locavore - they serve local food. Brad and I shared a cauliflower salad and porchetta sandwich - delightful! Evan had a hot dog (see, he has normal kid food too!). Whistler was our next stop and we ...

I woke up around 1am, wide awake, so I thought I'd get a drink of water, quick bathroom stop then back to sleep. I had just settled into the bed when I heard a loud gunshot.
