        We were up early and decided it would be the perfect time to walk the length of Patong Beach before the heat of the day settled in. Have I mentioned how HOT it is here!!! Well I'll mention it again because it is crazy HOT. The worse of the heat starts about 1pm and just continues to climb, about 5 or 6 it starts to get tolerable again.         ... for a good night sleep, ready to bounce around the gym on Friday. Friday Day 1: Chalong, Phuket Friday morning, we woke up feeling fresh and didn't waste any time in visiting the gyms to compare classes, timetables and memberships.         ... through the gym. It was an exhausting two hours! A girl I met who is also quite new, had dinner together and chatted. She is really interesting and eager to meet for classes and meals... Which is great company! So although no turkey this weekend, I had a great salmon dinner. And no family here, but I got to spend the majority with an old friend and met some really great new people... With my toes in the sand for most of it. I really can't complain ...

        ... town tour in the afternoon was good to get our bearings & scope out where we want to visit! Last night we ate in a yummy Italian restaurant & B & I went shopping - he is happy he got some new shirts!!! Easy pleased! Today we are going elephant trekking cat wait!         ... the airport grounds to find a cheaper mode of transport to Giant Guesthouse as i read it was half the price just a short walk away. I found a kick ass tuk, offered 80b and off we went. I arrived at the guesthouse and checked it, this was by far the most different place i had ever stayed, wide open common areas surrounded by plants, tress and aquariums. The people sitting around were celebrating someones birthday, and i was offered fresh salad and pasta and a beer. ...
