      The Southern Adventure!

A travel blog entry by diana2k28 on Feb 11, 2015

Today we decided to leave the comfort of our beautiful beach and venture out into the real Jamaica. Our trip took us to the Southerly side of the Island through some very rural terrain. Jamaica is a lot more mountainous than we had realised and also very heavily wooded. The day started. Quite wet and windy and water was running down the road. Our first stop was at the YS Falls where we were able to walk to ...

Back on the boat we had dinner and did a bit of catching up of diary writing, photos, emails ...

The rest of the day ...

The beach has been very vibrant today with lots of singing and buskers hoping to earn a few dollars! Some have been quite good! The day started very hot and quite calm but soon the wind got up and the sea was anything but calm! No one was taking the Cats out so of course Rob thought he would!!! Well he shot out to sea on the first breeze and soon was happily sailing back and forth! He said it was fantastic ! However the wind got up more and the side of the Cat ...

We awoke to beautiful blue skies and avery hot start but as the day went on the wind got up and turned out to be a perfect day for sailing!! Apparently we are only 90 minutes from Cuba an dI did wonder if Rob was going to make an appearance on their shores as he became a dot on the horizon!! He did admit going out was easier than turning round!! However he arrived back safely and all was well! Today was ...
