    ... small backpack (thanks aunt Janet!) and Steven is bringing a small backpack. Since sun protection cost double in Belize, we are bringing our own in large bottles and will checking that bag. On the way back we'll ditch whatever is left to make the bag a carry on.

    landed at 7:45 but were waiting for our gate for 20 min terminal 5 is huge and v airy feeling, nice but makes for a long haul w the unexpected carry ons in tow. the rucksack mode helps a lot - yay for tom bihn! day room at sofitel terminal 5 - 8:00 -18:00 in room 1218. hotel itself is over he car park area so another long slog from main area. small m&s in terminal for our lunch time snacks. strawberry & raspberry yoghurt & nut and ...

    Wow! This is my first time flying out of the country, and I have to admit I'm a little nervous. I've never been to Paris.     Today was scheduled to be a bright sunny day so we decided to go to the Empire State Building and the best time to beat the crowds was early in the morning.
