    After lighting the fire with a propane-powered flame torch, it very quickly became clear that my concerns about the grass were well founded and the fire started to rapidly spread out.     ... to view along the way. Between S.F. and Hopland (next to Ukiah) my outdoor temperature gauge did push-ups! The temp went 68 to 75 to 80 to 55 to 72 to 85 with fog, sun, clouds it was awesome.

    I made it to Lisa and Allen's after dark and they showed me around by the bright moonlight and we talked for quite awhile.. Then we moved their bed, set up mine and fell asleep ...

    ... about whether we were doing our wine tasting and going to some hot springs in Napa. We didn't hear anything and so we assumed not. We were exhausted so we laid low for more than an hour.
