We've had a busy couple of days. Monday we started off on the beach...again. Can't pass up an opportunity to relax on the beach and swim in the ocean when the sky is clear and temperatures are in the 80s- Ha, take that my wet and chilly Minnesotan friends! ... were at best average. Marc looked a little sad.
Back at our frog\bug infested camp we all did some laundry. So a pretty low key day, I actually feel bad making you read this. I was nodding off a bit while i was writing it, so god knows what reading it was like. If you have persevered and made it this far, then i say thank you and i promise to do more exciting things tomorrow.

We made it! I had Mandy drive the last section of the journey because there were mountain roads and I'm not good with mountains. I tend to freak out on any curves. If you saw a funny looking guy in Eastern Tennessee with his eyes closed and white-knuckling the dashboard, that was likely me. Thankfully I'm a progressive type of man and will let my woman sit in the front seat and even drive from time to time.

In Live Oaks Campground you can hear
the surf pounding against the beach but, you'er not at the beach. The
smell here is not the smell of the ocean, it is the smell of the
smell of a salt marsh. Here it smells of the earth's primordial soup,
stirred twice a day by forces even greater than the ocean itself.

Edisto Beach SP
Our stop in Gastonia proved a little
longer than we thought it would be. Still, with Jessica and John's
help, we got a whole lot accomplished! We bought our new TOAD,
ordered and installed a hitch to receive the new bike rack. We still
have to decide on a tow system and get that taken care of over the
next couple months. Extra thanks again to John and Jessica for all
their help and company! Did I forget ...
