... well, HRH is slightly off the strip but detail details.) the pool has 2 lagoons with sand beaches, as well as a waterfall, lazy river, and slide.
i wanted to see the bellagio water fountain show, and we ended up having wine and cheese at the bellagio on a stone deck right outside the water. best seats in the house. we watched several shows.
no real gambling was done. i lost ...
... and back on the road headed for Seligman and parts of Old Route 66. In spite of advice to take in Laughlin etc we are sticking to our original schedule. We can't do everything and want to stay on track to get to Austin and Florida at the right time.
Still hot and will be I expect for a while yet, its 11.30 pm and the pool outside our flat is still very popular although I think it is a little cooler, perhaps high 90's.
... d expect it to be - bright, bustling and offering pretty much anything to everyone (for a price, of course!). The humidity and temperature made things a little uncomfortable, not to mention the latinos attempting to sell you women on pretty much every street. Furthermore, everyone seemed to be walking the streets blind drunk and really living the Vegas dream of booze, drugs and total hedonism - in a nutshell this was Blackpool/San Antonio but bigger ...
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States pjarowi1... to neil and said 'i hope it gets better than this.' it didn't. the couple sitting next to us were spewing at how **** it was. can't blame us really, the tickets were a hundred each. anyway, after that we got a frozen margarita, had a couple of jelly shots and all as right with the world. caught the fountain show again at the bellagio, could watch that all night, met an irish couple who were really nice and on their honeymoon, so exchanged numbers and will try ...
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States sandineilNothing could be more different from idyllic little Julian. I stayed in the Luxor Hotel on the strip, which is the world's largest indoor atrium. The building is a pyramid with a laser on top that, second to the Great Wall of China, is now the second single man-made artifact visible from space. I have always wanted to stay here. The elevators go up diagonally, as there are no central pillars holding up the pyramid; it holds itself up ...
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States cube242The man is 75 years old and still having the energy to perform all the hits for 3 hrs. He "galloped" on and off the stage and cracked jokes with Wellington crowd (full house). No one went home "unsatisfied" :) On Wednesday 21st Jan, we were then embarking on our next destination, LA and Las Vegas. When we landed to LA, the process just to get through to the Immigration is a joke (queuing for 1hr). We had two people checked and re-checked our forms to see if we filled ...
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States langiao16... a round of 96; a pretty decent round considering the rental clubs. I was really amazed that I need only 30 putts for the round with no practice on the putting green and a strange putter...fortunately it was also a blade putter like my Slazenger, so I was somewhat comfortable with the rented putter. Of course your putting average is helped when you holed two greens from outside the putting surface. The Badlands was not so bad after all.
las vegas, Nevada, United States ndsquirrel... the dam. The water levels looked pretty low, and we have to say it wasn't quite as big as we'd envisaged. That said it is still an amazing piece of engineering for its time. Finished in 1935 and standing 726ft tall, the dam's art-deco style looks dramatic against the desert landscape. We stopped and took a few shots from the numerous view points before heading on the 40 or so miles to Las Vegas. Las Vegas Our second visit to ...
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States andyfreshwater... explored our hotel, MGM Grand, New York, New York and the Bellagio. The Bellagio is one of the most impressive and expensive hotels on the strip. Maybe next time!! (LOL) The neat thing is that no matter where you are staying you can check out any of the other hotels shops, casinos, restaurants and shows. The heat was incredible and we needed to make several water stops along the way. Many of the hotels are connected by trams and walkways ...
