Our taxi came as promised, and was only a short jaunt to the airport. We were flying with BA, and taking advantage of their online check-in/seat selector would have eased our passage, if the self-check in machine hadn´t gobbled up one of our tickets. Luckily the ever-professional BA check-in staff were on hand, and we were again on our way. Our fl...

The parents visit

... very deep. 'Deep enough to jump from the top' I thought. I didn't want to scare my mum, although of course I did, but it just looked so appealing. In the end I couldn't find a place with a small enough curve that I felt I could safely enough jump from the top so I climbed down a little. My mum was happy about that. She also fell in love with a higher level waterfall which you could shower in. She felt like she was in a film (although I reckon she really meant 'I'm a celebrity...').

Easter in Tobago

Tobago celebrates Easter by holding their famous (to them) goat races. When we got there i was worried to hear that the goats had jockeys. Fortunately for the goats though, the comical image of a full grown man on a goat was left to my imagination as the jockeys had to run alongside their goat to steer them and spur them on. It was all very fun after a few beers and the comentators ...

Limes and Doubles

It's interesting to learn more about the language here. Although it is English, many words have different meanings. For example, we have been amazed at the lack of any real variety of fresh fruit. We expected to see all kinds of fruit, but have not. Other than some basic bananas, a few pinepapples, and the occasional paw paw, there is nothing! Unfortunately, there are mangos, but they ...
