... s birthday on Saturday and Sunday. Chris Giles arrived on the Tuesday and we naturally spent a lot of time with these 3 special friends. Activities included:
- Eumundi markets (on a Wednesday but still busy. Interesting markets)
- visited Mandy and Steve at Gympie
- Everglades tour along Noosa River and then dinner at Apollino Hotel at Borene Point ...
... pit of money.
Lots of wonderful people climb this mountain every day, one lady apparently does it 7 times and then jogs home. On the top there were people celebrating birthdays, 2 old Gals with Ukulele, tourists and beautiful bodies absorbed into their headphones, and still they don’t miss a beat.
After our massive effort and a beautiful lunch, as all good deeds must be rewarded, we head off on our next adventure, Central Queensland Coast.
Monday I showered him, washed his hair, did his nails, moisturized his legs, fed him till he popped, made up the mixture Hayley had given him and pampered to his every need. He slept , ate, drank, ate, slept all day with a few intervals of Allison and Andrew popping in to see how he was. He was perking up and only had pain relief in the morning and before bed. ... on it. Here, it was a bit slippery to start with, but then I found the sweet spot, and was riding up the beach at 6 mph. Not very quick of course, but it was enough: I knew I'd be able to ride this now. The permitted camping area was about 20 km away. It was just past 4 pm, so a quick mental calculation showed that I could get there before Sundown. This was all coming together! The ride up the beach was incredible. Friday afternoon 20th September.
After cruising back into the marina at 2pm from the whale watching tour we headed to Maroochydore. We arrived at the park at 5pm and set up the van and satellite dish to watch the Geelong/Hawthorn match tonight. Dinner and a night watching tv then bed.

This morning we went to the famous Eumundi Markets about 30k's up the coast west of Noosa. Arrived around 9am and around 11am we saw Dave's 4WD in ...
