    ... on her head ,and gathered around..[she has a hat !!] she comes equipped with much food and even water for the many…so many bags in fact I suddenly wondered if she stayed…but no ,I think not.!     ... we got chatting to the turtle team who told us about a nest in the beach & predicted hatches tonight. We took a peek at the nest just at the bottom of the steps to the beach. Nia rented a surf board for 24hrs so spent the afternoon surfing. The water was very warm - around 26C. At sunset we went to the turtle nest.     ... we got off to explore.
    Wandered along the river front until we came across a huge lido. On the inner side are shops bars restaurants & market stalls. Street entertainment was an aboriginal playing a didgeridoo ... made my day.
    We stopped for lunch, a number of ibis joined us, all to soon it was time to jump back on the ferry taking us past river front homes. We got held up by a regatta, so our ferry driver went full speed to catch up.

    ... br> A little over a year ago we public transported ourselves down to Beaudesert to pickup our Hyundai. We saved nearly $3,000 on the car so we thought that worth while. However it took 7.5 hours by public transport and we were knackered. No way were we going to repeat that little exercise.

    A pretty quiet day was had today. We tried to get a morning sleep into Oscar so didn't leave home til late. We did find a nice little lookout just near Charlene's house that had views over Noosa which was lovely. We didn't get to the top though as it was a bit hard to get there with the kids, and that was supposed to have 360 degree views of the area, so we will have to go back when we are a bit more prepared.
