We timed our visit well as, just before we were about to set off, we looked to Old Faithful and noticed it starting to bubble. It was as we rushed out of the RV towards it that the eruption began and that I had a proud mother moment; completely unprompted, Bryony looked at the hot jets of water flying skywards and shouted, "GEYSER!!!" Yes! A geologist in the making! ...

It was in the carpark for one of the bubbly, steamy sights that we met Steve and Janette a UK couple travelling on a Triumph. They had just ridden the Beartooth Highway and gave it a great wrap. We pulled out our maps and found the Beartooth. We were going in the opposite direction. Well, we were going in the opposite direction, but now...

... We knew the ride from Flagg Ranch to Turpin Meadow Campground was fairly short, flat and all on Tarmac so we took our time in the morning and stopped at Colter Bay for lunch where we stocked up on food for four days to get us to Pinedale. The grocery store was great: freshly made baguettes and fresh tomatoes - something Nadine had been dreaming of for a while - as well as fruit and home made muffins. The views of the Tetons and Jackson Lake were stunning all day, to the ...
