    Not all that

I stayed at your casino as a gueast of a former co-owner. last year I felt like I should have come in throught the back door I never told my friend that sent me, but I am telling you

    They just don't UNDERSTAND!

This could be the best CASINO & HOTEL in (the south) Shreveport, but the management and people are too COLD. Regardless if you are a high roller or a small one they showed me they don't give a D-a-m. If I ran this casino we would be number one casino in town like the Horseshoe, and we would go by them real quick. They would knock down the door to get into this wonderful place if they only had some common sense.

    Great hotel & casino

I usually drive to Shreveport from East Texas and never spend the night, but from a previous trip, I had a free night so decided to give it a try. The room was free and quite beautiful. It was clean and the bathroom was to die for; a huge room with a double sink, shower and seperate bathtub. A phone in the bathroom too!!!! We did have a small wait upon check in, but the staff person who waited on us was quite nice. The only problem is, they don't offer free rooms on the weekend. The casino is nice and has 3 floors of gambling. The elevators are so slow though; I don't usually win but do have a good time. Lots of nickel slots on the 3rd floor. The staff that I have encountered have always been very nice. Have dined at the diner & buffet and have enjoyed both. Although service tends to be slow in the diner.

    Casino Security Rude and Unconcerned

My billfold was stolen from my purse while I played slots, today. I had just changed money, closed my purse and layed the strap over the chair, so I know that it was professionally stolen as I do not drink, had no company with me, etc. When I reported the loss to security, the reply was "Sorry", by a couple, when asked if they might help my look or recover it, I simply got "No". Although it only had a $100, it was the principle of total apathy, that appauled me. They certainly do nothing for guest security. Of probably a dozen security agents I spoke with, only 2 phoned main security to see if the empty remains might have been turned in. Every desk attendant I spoke was especially rude and cut me off before I could three words out. I don't ever care to go back. The staff in general, are horrible.

    I Love the Hollywood!!!

I personally love the Hollywood the room are great I've stayed many times and my room was clean. The Hollywood staff was verry courteous. The all around Omni of the Hollywood Casino is very refreshing and i would recommend it to anyone.

    The worst night ever

I wanted to get away for awhile so I decided to spend a night at the Hollywood Casino HoteL When I entered my room it looked pleasant but looks are decieving. There was someone elses hair all over the room on the couch on the bed just everywhere. On top of that when I went into the Bathroom someone had left stool in the toilet I ending my stay shortly after.

    Hollywood Shrecveport

My husband and I had a room reserved for 7-19. It was made by casino host-Melody. It was secured by a credit card for a delayed arrival.

When we arrived they had given our room away. It would be nice if they offered us a room for the nite we "supposedly" have tickets reserved for Brooks and Dunn. My husband, Phil Langford, has benn a great patron and is a premier card holder. It would be even nicer to have two extra free tickets for the concert. Also there was so much teenage traffic from the clubs going thru the garage that we felt somewhat threatened.

My husband and I can be reached at 903-297-1977.

Loved luxurious bathroom in Hollywood Casino Hotel room

The hotel room was better than expected. The separate tub was luxurious to relax in after 2 long days of pulling slots! The room was clean and much more spacious than an average hotel room. The staff was very courteous and accomodating upon our requests. The hotel's eateries are good. The diner downstairs is excellent. There could stand to be yet another form of entertainment to break up the hours spent within the casino so as not to have to leave the premises otherwise. Also there are no vending machines available for intermittent snacking, only soft drink machines on each hotel floor.

I do love the feel of this place

I do enjoy my visits to this casino. The rooms are so nice. I rate them second in town. And one night we stayed in a suite there, and that was pretty posh. I could never afford the regular rate, but they are good about discounted and occasionally complimentary rooms. The casino has an array of games and if it isn't too busy, you should be able to find some for 5.00. However my favorites *Bacc and Pai Gow* were pretty much 10 at the least. If it is a busy night, this might not be an option. They do have wheel of fortune here, but I don't know that either of us have won much on the machines at this hotel. The buffet is pretty good for selection. I don't know about best in Bossier. I did not agree with that. But it is good and should have something for even the pickiest of eaters. I do like their Diner. My hubby and I love to share a burger dinner there. We have been to the superstars show one time. It was pretty decent for free (got passes). I wish they had other entertainment. I haven't seen anything here other than superstars in a long time. Hollywood does have fun promotions. You should enjoy it and it is one of the prettiest around. I love the modern movie theme.

    Need cleaner rooms

    The rooms could be cleaner.

... Creole food. The clerk gave us a page with instructions for a nearby establishment and off we went. Unfortunately, when we got there it turned out to be more of a local bar than restaurant, with higher prices than we were ready to pay, so we went to Cracker Barrel for supper (yumm!).

So now we are relaxing in our room at the hotel. Tomorrow, we go to the Vicksburg National Military Park (Civil War), and spend the night in Jackson, Mississippi.

... Cottages are easy to spot, not only because they are usually painted in nice bright colors, but also that the windows in the front are always bigger than the door! Who knew? Antebellum homes were also of a certain age from the birth of the US to the beginning of the Civil War. If you live in one of these homes, it is on the historical register and you may not change out the windows, or change any exterior walls with anything but original materials. They ...

The following morning I joined them for coffee... awesome... Kathleen's roasted beans which Tom had brewed in a French Press. She roasted a jar full for me and gave me a French Press to take home. Mine doesn't taste quite as good as theirs, but I am working on adjusting the formula. It is always a treat to spend time with them and I must remind the people at St. James how fortunate they are! ...
