... spent a nice day, breezier & overcast but still a nice day. The others ran late shopping & so never showed up at the beach. We got home about 4:00 & had a swim in the pool to rinse off the salt. We visited around the pool & a few had a little nap. We went out for supper to the Machado square. It was very nice there with musicians etc. we had a lovely supper at Pedro & Lola restaurant with Ken & Karen. Nice stroll home & more visiting out by the ...

... Patrick's day .... "Kiss Me I'm Irish". We headed back for home about 4:00 pm after a great day together at the beach. We got a pulmonia (little golf cart/ taxi) back to the house. He didn't know where we said to go & it took us twice as long to get back than necessary. We had a little swim & then walked over to the Malecon for a supper. Took a great photo of the sunset. Barb & I played cards for awhile & everyone else was in bed by 9:00 ...

... couple leaving after 3 weeks, invited the next evening to some classical guitar and sunset watching and then there was the boatload of welcomes and why-don't-you-stay-longers.

Happily we were there when the produce man came--pretty cool to have produce and pastries delivered right to your doorstep--and again when the water man came bringing 5 gallon containers of purified water.

But next day we were heading south again.

... trip, and we think we've just found the queen. Picture the Tasmanian Devil (energy level) with a little Daffy Duck thrown in for humour. She is great! She's built and contracted this complex on her own over the last 12 years, a renowned mosaic artist, all the cabins display functional pieces (sinks, tables etc.) of her work. It is truly a unique and beautiful place. The town is recovering from the long weekend, apparently, as remote as it is, it is known by Mexicans ...

          San Carlos to Mazatlan

We decided it was time to say goodbye to the desert of San Carlos and make our way to greener pastures: Mazatlan. As we get going at 11.45am the Homer Simpson copilot plans an arrival at 8.30pm, much later than we anticipated... and we have not been able to book a pet-friendly accommodation yet. Finding one on a Saturday evening could be a challenge but we put our faith in our guardian angels and drive.
