“Wonderful place to relax- if you want good massages, you need to speak to them though...”

The hotel was amazing, the ambience breath-taking, the pool area a dream- the buffet fantastic. I would definitely recommend this place. We got this deal through groupon and for what we paid, it was worthwile- i would never pay the full price though. The hotel needs some renovation but all in all- splendid. The rooms are big- the beds comfortable.
The only thing that needs to be addressed: The massages. We were supposed to have a 30 min massage every day. On the first day, it was a 15 min caress- the ladies were yawning and were seemingly not bothered to massage me and my friend with whom I shared the massage room with. The second day we complained and the massage was still just 25min but it was a whole lot better. I do recommend Miriam (or was it Mariam). She is amazing. The third day was reasonable too even though they yet again did not reach the 30min. It's important to speak to them at the Spa reception.
Further, at check-out they added taxes to our hotel bill to our surprise. It was moderate, nevertheless: We did not know about it.
Doesnt matter- the overall impression I had of this place was positive!

The alarm went off at 3am. I'm glad it did as Chris' backup alarm didn't go off. But that's only because he set it for the day after we needed it. Thanks to his small human error, we woke up on the first day of our trip to a vibrating un-tuneful phone bouncing around in the room safe. Good job we remembered the safe code at such …

... could be as big as 10,000 camels! Women's carpet weaving co-ops are scattered along the route. We stopped at a couple and bought a very nice rug at the shop in Agna. It is a large, pile knot rug measuring at about 2.5m x 2m. Prices at these shops are fixed and the asking price was 1,750D, which is slightly over $200. The flat weave rug we purchased on our DIY day trip to Tangier three years ago was $700 after some very ...

... only an hour from Anchorage...and so it is with Morocco. In these parts English is not widely spoken; Spanish even less. Everyone speaks French or Moroccan Arabic, however, so we are giving our Ultralingua French-English dictionary a good workout. Another noteworthy tip is to get a business card from your hotel so it can be given to a cab driver to minimize confusion. Or better yet, we have the bus station name written in Arabic on the backside of our ...

All Roads Lead to Marrakech

Since Marrakech is the hub of central Morocco there seemed no getting around another stop there. We booked a couple of rooms at the same hotel we had previously and set out on the LPG-recommended walking tour. About all we got done on the list of eight sights was the palace. It looked very much like the Alhambra in Granada, Anadalucia, only on a miniture scale and not on a hill top. But the intracate plaster carvings, wood work, tile work, and Moorish architecture were no less impressive. ...

All Aboard the Marrakech Express!

... really trooped well as our packs are starting to get heavy. About half way there Jed had an 'oh ****' moment and stopped to dig for his camera. Later digging on the train did not turn one up, marking our second trip causuality. The first was Dorrie's sunglasses and med bag which seemed to have gotten lifted from her handbag in Madrid.
The train was very comfortable with a cabin all to ourselves to Casablanca. There, we changed trains ...
