... penguins, seals and sea lions, touch tanks and an entire bug area. San Diego has more cool birds, including some magnificent eagles and condors. San Diego has more beautiful bronze animals that kids can climb on. We definitely need more of these in St. Louis. But St. Louis is home, and that’s the best ever – we win! All in all, we should be very proud of our zoo in St. Louis!

Everyone joined in at Vons and helped shop for things they wanted to eat. Nice store, friendly people. We signed up for a Safeway card many years ago when we first started traveling around the country and we still have it and use it on these trips. Saves a lot of money at these stores as they give a discount to those with a card. Safeway owns Vons as well, and is ...

... oh and a ton of black bags full of stuff. As we slid open the unit door we were all smiles because we thought we had made another good score. In the next hour we found that the laptop screen was completely cracked, the tv was broken and the black bags were all filled with plastic bottles and aluminum cans.

The next three units that we purchased during our time in the states returned a better profit. We ...

... At Keyes view we stopped a while to admire the incredible views of the valley below with the San Andreas Fault cutting a jagged line and in the hazy distance...Mexico.

We played amongst the rocks until the sun began to set and drove home full of chatter and excitement. That night I threw some clothes in a backpack and got ready for another road trip...I'd somehow scored a trip to Las Vegas!!!
