Some days the weather gods are not kind. This was one of them. I reluctantly got away from Dexter, MO at around 10:30 this morning. After spending the night at the home of new found friends, Mike and Lily, I pulled the Highlander out of the borrowed hangar and started out for Sedalia, MO (KDMO). I almost made it. It required climbing up to 4500 ft to get above the scattered layer and bobbing and weaving my way through showers and the ...

Sunday, Oct. 5th, shoved off from St. Louis for a stressful drive to the Lake of the Ozarks. First the busy 4 laners with the tractor trailers and then the most winding roads ever and absolutely not a single amount of a shoulder anywhere! If you drift even slightly off the edge of the road, forget it. Your vehicle will be rolling around down the bank. Jim drove and I'm sure it was stressful for him. Absolutely no margin for error ...

... with them, so they declined a radio interview with us (which is understandable, but a bummer).

We DID hear back from an at-home daycare with 15 kids in it. So after trying to get flyers around town (and trying not to get too wet while we're at it), we ended our day at the Bright Starts Day School...Jessica, who runs it, was so excited because one of the kids turned 2 today. So John did a ...
