It's our last day at the lake, and so begins our list of lasts. Tom, Leah & I went out fishing off Star Island this morning. We used up our last minnows, and caught our last fish (6 perch). We didn't fish long as we wanted to say good-bye to Grandpa & Grandma and help them get their boat out of the lake.

Dad woke me with a phone call in the morning, wondering when we were going fishing. I hauled myself out of bed and found Tom brewing coffee in the kitchen, and the view of a fairly peaceful lake out the window. By the time we pulled the boat out of the harbor, mom and dad were just arriving at the fishing spot in Allen's Bay. We went out to meet them.

We somehow managed to drag all three kids (Jared, Leah & Chloe) out of bed this morning to go fishing. We opted for our favorite spot...Pike Bay. After ducking under the bridges, and floating through the channel, we pulled into the lake. As I scanned the water for my mom and dad's boat, my eyes were drawn to a branch just off the shore. I made Tom go over and check it out, and we were all excited to find two Eagles sitting side by side. ...

When we arrived in Walker, Tom loaded the bikes up on the car and we met up with the girls. After a little shopping (we HAD to pick up our Highlander Grogg coffee beans!), we all met at Zona Rosa's Mexican restaurant for supper. Now we're just hanging back at the resort, catching up on travel blogs, reading, and chatting with cousins.

It was a beautiful day for kayaks, so Deb and I took them out for a leisurely ride . It was so nice to get all caught up on each other's lives. We never seem to have trouble finding things to talk about, and our friendship just picks right up where we last left off.
