      Price of Gas: $3.59-$3.69 We took two cars this year, our 2014 Honda CR-V and 2012 Toyota Prius. Jared also came with his Saturn Vue.
      Number of fish caught: 105. Brought home: 79 ( 49 perch, 25 rock bass, 2 bluegill, ...

      ... with a hole in their vessel, I made Tom follow behind them. It wasn't really necessary, I'll admit, but it made me feel better. Dad remembered there was a marina and boat shop just down the shore from their resort, so he pulled in there and bought a couple of new boat plugs. Since we were there, he let Tom help put it in tight, and they were back in business! Whew!

      Today was a fairly laid-back day. We saw Seth and Maddie off early in the morning, and after catching a bit more sleep, Tom & I joined mom and dad for some fishing. It was nice to be able to visit while we fished, and Tom enjoyed not having to drive the boat. Putting my dad's boat driving skills together with my GPS/guiding skills, we were able to catch ten fish by the end of the morning. I guess that doesn't say much for either of our skills, but ...

      ... We all sprinted toward the shelter, laughing all the way as we tried to beat the rain. We got a little wet, but dodged most of it. The rain quickly passed and the sun came out, so we headed down to the headwaters. Walking through the Mississippi river is always a fun time!

      Tom & I had brought our bikes and bike gear along with us, so we took off on our ride while the kids headed to the Visitor's center for a bit and then headed back to the ...
