We left Birch Villa at 8:15 a.m., Central Time. Even though we sent a few things home with Mom & Dad, our car seems fuller. I can't understand why…I mean, we only added several clothes purchases, 20 quart sized bags of frozen fish, a case of ForestEdge wine, and a kitten (plus litter, kitty food, etc)! The trip home was uneventful, with a stop for lunch at Culver’s in Rice Lake, Wisconsin (where we met up with Beth and her ...
It's Friday. And that means it's our last day at Birch Villa Resort on Cass Lake. To change things up a bit, we decided to join Dad in his boat and go over to nearby Crooked Lake with Paul's and Roy's boats. Beth also came along. Since we really wanted to know what our future with little Migi was, I made a few phone calls and found out that we could take it to ...

After a quick lesson in frying fish, she flipped that fish like a pro. We all enjoyed that melt-in-your-mouth dinner, after which we lazed around the cabin or went back outside to find friends.
