Tom came to meet us near the end of the trail, and was quite surprised to see Leah’s cargo. He, like all of us, wondered what we were going to do with it. Beth and I tried to guess what kind of cat it was (long haired, nice markings, very clean and tame), and where it came from. We knew we would have to make sure it didn’t have a microchip before ...

... our favorite shops include: Tiger Lily's, Lundrigan's, Jenny & Company, and Christmas Point.

We shopped, enjoyed some lunch at the Village Square Cafe, and then shopped some more. Tom biked down, met us for lunch, and shopped for awhile with me before biking back to Cass Lake.

We woke up this morning to find a haze over the lake. This haze started around Tuesday, and seems to be getting a bit thicker each day. The cause? Forest fires up north in Saskatchewan. We normally see blue skies, big puffy white clouds, or thick heavy storm clouds. This haze is really unusual, making the sunset look like an orange ball in the sky, and the moon a dark red.  Tom, Seth & I decided to ...

    The Last...

It's our last day at the lake, and so begins our list of lasts. Tom, Leah & I went out fishing off Star Island this morning. We used up our last minnows, and caught our last fish (6 perch). We didn't fish long as we wanted to say good-bye to Grandpa & Grandma and help them get their boat out of the lake.

After lunch, Deb & I went on our last kayak ride. Melissa joined us after a bit. We drank our last **********ades as we tried to solve all the ...
