Looking around it seems that we are yet again going to navigate our way through a gift shop. The kitschy key chains with blinking names (but never my name?) are on display, right next to palm tree mugs and picture frames shaped like sunglasses. T-shirts line the walls and sweatshirts are folded in two foot tall stacks just waiting to be dug through to find the right size and color to scream that you were “here!”

A first occurred for us at Little River Bridge, a mile before our destination. We were the solitary boat and were about 10 minutes past the bridge's normal hourly opening.
