... of Thai. The bridge was restored. It's impressive railway, nicknamed "Death Railway", out of effective use. Bars read 1911. Made by a Belgium company. Next we visit the war cemetery. The largest of the two here in Thailand. Impressive. There are 1.7 mio graves maintained by the Commonwealth War Cemetery Service. We had read about some beautiful waterfalls about an hour and a half drive out of kanchanaburi so rather than booking an overly expensive "tour," (we have discovered that tours in Asia are not tours but more like expensive taxi's) we would make our own way there..... ... mission plus we were so proud of ourselves for being 'proper travellers' on a moped that 1 little tree wasn't going to spoil it for us!

That night we had the nicest tasting food, it was delicious, massaman curry and prawn pad thai noodles. It was yummy! After, Scott managed to find the only bar in thailand that sold some cider and we decided to stay there for another evening of people watching and maybe a little football....
