Much to our surprise a monarch butterfly fluttered into view having just crossed La They have been seldom seen this year here it seems, so hopefully more will follow. The hillside was covered with ...

I was just unpacking when the owner phoned to ask if I'd let her take my photo for her motel blog. She gets lots of male bikers but not females, let alone a solo female.
      Of course, I agreed & had ...

Day of Driving with Some Swimming Required

A travel blog entry by craig.d.work on Aug 21, 2011

... this was not what we wanted to do, though we were getting hungry. Seconds later we were back on the highway and heading into yet another large black cloud, only this one came with a light show!

After driving through two large storm clouds and a deluge of rain from both (hence the swimming!) we made it through to Thessalon, a small town outside of Sault Ste. ...
