    After being a little let down by how developed Koh Tao was, we set off in search of something closer to what we had in mind when we decided to come to Thailand — that perfect, quiet beach bungalow for a few dollars a night.     ... heat with our backpacks on our shoulders. After we enquired on the prices of a few other guesthouses, which were either too pricey or fully booked, we found Big Blue Diving Resort 1000B a night (approx £18) More than we wanted to pay, but the room was quite nice and just a few steps off of the beach. Our room was really spacious, with 2 double beds (for some reason) and big sliding doors going out onto a lovely balcony. No air con, but there was a fan. We stayed ...

    ... she yelled, so I cranked the accelerator and up we went, higher and higher! Uh oh, we are slowing down. C'mon baby keep going! Ah %#@$, we are halfway up and now at a standstill. I yell at Cindy to get off as I clutch the brake to stop us from sliding backwards downhill. Well this is embarrassing... An accomplished rider on a nice bike happens to come down the hill and immediately pulls over to help us push our bike to the top of the first incline. "Don't go backwards" ...
