:) nice pools, inclusive buffet breakfasts, clean rooms, electricity for 20hrs / day, quiet

:( no wi-fi, slightly soul-less, most upmarket resort on Tonsai

        Spectacular scenery, sleepy social scene

Arrived exhausted in Krabi town and decided in an instant to leave for Railay beach the next morning. It's a small town on the river with a few guesthouses and restaurants simply used as a jumping off point for more spectacular things. We did find a great little Italian though called Bolero, for some post-traumatic journey relief in the shape of...

        Best place yet!

We stepped off the boat into Ko Phi Phi to see Lucy and Stuart waiting for us at the Pier. We've now left Clarke (who has gone to see his brother Matt for a couple of weeks) and will meet us for the full moon party in Ko Phangan. It was Lucy's birthday and she wanted to make it a memorable one, so they showed us where they were staying and we go...

        Railay to Koh Phi Phi

We took a ferry to Koh Phi Phi on Saturday, Feb. 20 and stayed for 3 nights. The day we arrived we took a long walk up to the Viewpoint #1 and #2 (which were amazing!). We then continued on to Rantee Beach which is on the east side of the island. It was a long, hot walk through the jungle, but we heard from our readings that it would be worth it...

        Check out of Ton Sai

ButI was a bit confused about what to expect about phi phi. Friends from home said it was beautiful and then people we met along the road were more guarded in their appreciation saying it was only worth a day trip etc. So we went wishing we hadn't promised 6 nights to Phi Phi

From the ferry Koh Phi Phi did look beautiful. It had the the...

        "The Beach"

We had been in Krabi for a week and decided it was time to move onto somewhere else. We didn't know where we wanted to go and last minute we decided on going to Koh Phi Phi. We booked our tickets and were told that the bus would be coming to pick us up in 20 minutes! We ran back to our room and packed everything up as quickly as we could. We als...
