... customs, into a taxi to arrive at Tony's apartment on Palm Beach. I had achieved the journey out and felt good. My gratitude to everyone who helped is beyond words and with a special 'thank you' to the wheelchair angel at Tenerife South airport who managed to clear a speedy flight path through crowds of passengers with her verbal beep beeping and deliver me from aircraft to taxi in record time.

... castles dating back to the 1400's and new buildings with beautiful facades, it didn't feel like an island at all. This is the playground for Europeans to enjoy beach weather for summer holiday. With temps in the 60's, most people had on winter coats and hats! The wind was sharp coming off the water and the top deck of the bus nippy but it was the best place for pictures.

... I enjoyed ham salad, sandwiches, crisps and several glasses of wine, as we wouldn’t be getting a meal on the plane (budget airline and all that).
Eventually our flight was called and we made our way to Gate 9 to board. The aircraft was around half an hour late taking off, then we were airborne and on our way back to Blighty. At least it was only a four-hour flight this time, and not 14 hours the way it was last January ...
