Wes had a good flight from S. Dakota to Bozeman, MT (KBZN). Four hours on the dot with 10 to 20 kt. tailwinds all the way! They predicted headwinds! I stayed under the cloud deck for the first couple hours which only left me 500 to 800 ft above the desolate terrain. The winds above the deck where going the wrong way, so I stayed put and enjoyed the sagebrush.

... Day 13. Monday 25th August. Bigfork to Cedar Creek. The next morning Matt witnessed a first: Nadine was unable to finish her Danish chocolate swirl for breakfast! They were scary and ominous times, but the day proved OK. Beautiful blue sky and sunshine followed by a beautiful climb. We reached the turn off for 'Fatty Creek' in good spirits and feeling strong. Laughing to ourselves at the name of the creek as we turned off and pointing out different breeds of trees as we ...
