    It seems like a much tamer Vegas. There were Casinos and such, but we just didn't have time to check it out.

    We checked into our a hotel, a Holiday Inn Express near the airport. The hotel was very nice and had very high ceilings in the hotel room and Justin enjoyed the echo.

    We also went to eat an an Applebees, where I had a yummy but spicy shrimp salad and Justin had a burger.

    Then we went back to the hotel and soaked a bit in the hot ...

    June 5th – Day 32



    Truckee is up in the mountains, can
    have months and months of snow a year and is a skiing area. Only 20
    minutes to Lake Tahoe it is also a stop for tourists all times of the
    year and is set up accordingly. Cute little shops and expensive
    designer ones, it's really pretty.



    Today we drove to Oldtown Truckee to
    look through the areas that are the oldest. We were just going to
    spend half an hour ...

    ... did not get in until late evening. This did give us the day to run to Reno for supplies, get a couple of hours in at the beach, set up camp, get a fire going and start the party. By the time the Spoons arrived around midnight the fire was raging, the drinks were flowing and we were brimming with excitement.     ... golf course with Cooper and then ended the night relaxing at their place drinking beers and watching Youtube videos. It was a great first full day in Tahoe and Kaitlyn and I were starting to see the appeal of living here in the summers.
