Great family camping weekend of campfires (i think we must have burned the equivalent of a small forest), frisbee, swimming, volleyball, canoeing, hiking. And the main event of the weekend: eating.

We get to the Cottage and are surprised that it is so rustic! We are not rustic people and I guess we though it would be better kept and less buggy. We gt unpacked - another feat. We did have time the first day to sit on the beach and watch the sunset. It was cloudy and rained overnight.

We're out of Toronto into trees and fields. Even on a Saturday we saw people working in Toronto - crazy! There are many photogenic moments that I've seen in the blink of an eye, too quick to capture. When our train was traveling past a rainy marsh, I caught a glimpse of a monarch fluttering erratically by our window - the butterfly looked still ...

I was very glad to be there for Adele and Derek's big day on Saturday! The sun came out just in time for the afternoon ceremony. Wedding was in Pennetangueshene (did I spell that right?) and the dinner at a golf club in Orillia. Nice area, my first time. The accomodation was her friend Lee's Inn and Spa (oooohhhh la la!). It was awesome and can recommend the Cavana in Orillia. My fascinator was a hit. Maybe.

WEll, it is official... I will be teaching in Linhe, Inner Mongolia. All I have to do is a) finish reports, b) finish my assignments and c) pack! At this stage I have a little of the "What did I get myself into?" thought. Flight departs on July 8th - goes to Washington - then on to Beijing!
