Deevana Patong Resort & Spa
Travel Blogs from Patong
Woke pretty early (Brisbane time I think), watched TV and used internet. Left hotel about 10am and walked across to Beautyland for a look, then walked all the way down Beach Rd, looking at all the shops/market stalls, turned left and walked along that road, found Coffee Mania and stopped for a vanilla latte. Walked back along Rat-U-Thit Rd, …
After breakfast, we decided to walk along Patong beach the other direction and discover some new places like we did the other day. So we headed south this time, walked all the way along the beach as far as we could, passing the thousands of sun lounges set up but still empty, past all the longtail boats waiting to take tourists for a ride. And up …
So my new stupid Chinatown Bluetooth keyboard is already broken. Made in China.. Whaddya expect? So the entries will be shorter until I find a replacement. I despise not having buttons! I wake up real early in the morning and try to figure out if I should stay one more day in KL or just go on to Thailand. I have had enough of big metropolises so I …
Hat Patong is the party capitol of Thailand! Absolutely anything and everything goes. You can be as individual as you like and nobody would bat an eyelid. Patong is full on, a little brash and, according to your personal tastes, either heaven or hell. After nine days of being in the middle of nowhere… heaven!

Our first stop on our 2 week trip was Patong, for a stop over before heading to Phi Phi island the next day.
We arrived into Bangkok on time, had a bit of a shock when faced with the heat! Instantly changed clothes for our connecting flight to Phuket as jeans were definitely too thick to be wearing here. We were surprised how …

Historical Traveler Reviews Deevana Patong Resort & Spa
Mama, Papa, drei Kinder
Sehr wertvoll!
You get what you pay for and this resort offers good value for money.
The garden wing rooms are basic and a little run down whereas the spa wing rooms are much better and also more expensive.
The facilities are good with two large swimming pools and a seperate kids pool both filled with lovely warm water!
The gardens are attractive with large grassed areas.
Breakfast was adequate and served in the open air restaurant overloking the pool adjacent to the spa wing.
The resort is set back from the road and has a lovely private feeling to it.
Even though it is not located close to the beach it is not far from places to eat, drink and shop.
I would definately stay here again .
Mum dad three kids
Very attractive entrance and foyer. Polite and efficient reception. Warm friendly staff, cold towel and complimentary drink on arrival was a nice touch.
Stayed in the Garden Wing in adjoining rooms for B900 per room a night including breakfast.
Nice pools and gardens were the kids could run around. We could view the pool & watch the kids from our veranda.
Rooms were big enough & all furniture and fittings worked fine.
Mini Mart next door with basic snacks, fresh milk & beer at supermarket prices.
Large food court 50m down the road.
No complaints about this hotel at all. Service was always with a smile and as with others i arrived early and was shown straight to my room.
This hotel was alright all around accept for a few really bad things. The hotel was an easy 10 minute walk to the beach however surrounded by bars filled with prostitutes. In the morning when taking a walk you saw all the prostitues leaving the hotel room.
Excellent value for money
I booked a spa wing room through late stays a week before my trip to Phuket, Patong Beach. The room was clean, big and had a nice view over the pool. The best thing was, we arrived early at the resort (9am) and the management allowed us to check-in early, and allowed us to change the date of our breakfast to that day as well.
Breakfast was nice, buffet style and the ambience was good too.
Overall, I think the resort gave a relaxing atmosphere and it was very new as well. Only disavantage probably is the 10 min walk to the beach.
Overall the Deevana is an excellent place to stay. For the price I think it is extremely good value.
My sister and I LOVED THE DEEVANA! We stayed in the spa wing with a view of the pool. The room was lovely even though it and the bed were med-small size - 2 beds vs 1 - but everything felt bigger. There was a big balcony overlooking the pool. No bathtub - shower only - but if you have a little extra cash (and I'll do this next time) I recommend staying in a deluxe room - it has a poolside private hot tub for only 400 bt more than a superior room (~$10/nt).
I also stayed in the Garden wing end of July 2005, it was excellent, the standard of accommodation was fairly basic but what more do you need? The staff were so friendly and professional and were only too willing to help. The pool area (one of 5 i think!) was clean and well kept as were the large gardens. There is also a spa on site which was very upper class!
I recommend anyone to go there who is on a budget but wants something a bit more upmarket-we paid 50 GBP for 4 nights, booking via internet.
Garden Wing room was horrible, mosquito infested & aircon not working
Stayed for 3 nights at Garden Wing. The room was stuffy as it open directly into the garden but we had to keep it closed throughout for fear of mosquitos. Don't know how those damn pests still managed to slip through, spent the first night scratching myself. Subsequently, had to ask for insect spray everynight. The aircon was also not working, had to ask for change of rooms, the reception gave us keys to 2 other empty rooms and asked us to check out the aircon ourselves. Finally settled on one room which was better but than my husband had to take down the aircon filter to wash it, hoping it would be colder. Breakfast was so so. We saw the rooms that faced the poolside and come with balcony, it looks better than the one that we stayed in. The staff was friendly and helpful though.
