... having to cover ourselves in mozzie repellent every evening) and it will of course be great to catch up with everyone, but nonetheless we are sad to be leaving this corner of the world behind us. Such is life.

Yesterday was typically lovely, with a trip into Negril (for postcards and a quick look at the famous 7 mile beach) then back here for an awesome massage, before watching sunset from a private hot-tub. An average Friday, I guess ...

... at sunset. It was a lively spot - lots of people, lots of cliff jumping (not from us, we hadn't taken our swimmers) and some good music. The evening was interrupted by a tropical shower, but the band carried on even if the jumpers didn't. The rain thankfully didn't last too long so we didn't get too wet walking back to the Caves.

Hi guys Just a quick update via the phone to let you know that we are safely settled into The Caves in Jamaica. It is, as you'd expect, beautiful. Yesterday's travel was a bit stressful - we had a manic/comical dash through Miami to reach our connecting flight - but it all worked out OK, and we arrived here at 10.30pm last night. Saa noen ganger klor det litt i fingrene etter aa gjore noe skikkelig, men jeg tror samtidig vi har godt av det! Roe oss litt ned til vi kommer hjem. ... so you don't need to walk very far to get a drink. I tend to be kind of a busy body and get tired of lying on the beach. My usual routine is to casually make the rounds between all three, taking in the sites, and chatting with friends along the way.

... stand seeking jerk chicken, we were sadly disappointed to find they did not have enough chicken ready for four people (we were traveling with a couple who were JA virgins, as well as our son), so we declined partaking of any of it and moved on to feed our need. It is worth pointing out that it is in the realm of the excursions where I felt Jamaica came into its own, and there is a blisteringly great range of tourist activities which I felt fully exploited all of what the island had to offer. These excursions include the obvious climb up Dunn's River falls, to rafting on the Martha Brae, and a day trip to the glorious beaches of Negril, and a stop at Rick's cafe, where cocktails, cliff ...
