Jamaica, no problem!

... our last day we got a local taxi driver to take us down the road to Negril, another town on the west of the country. There is a great beach there (7-mile beach) and some cliffs with the most amazing turquoise water crashing beneath.

To sum it up, Mobay served its purpose perfectly: gave us a chance to catch up with Craig, do some swimming, catch a tan, drink some beers but most of all just take it easy and relax and have a holiday form our holiday!

Beaches, Negril Seven Miles of FUN!

On to Beaches Negril Resort & Spa to do a walk through there. Security at the front steps met me to make sure I belonged there. Time to go home

... brighten the dark sky. It was very cool.

This morning we've just breakfasted, been for one last swim (and a few final jumps) and packed. We'll have some lunch now and the taxi should be here in an hour and a half or so.

We will update this blog with some pictures when we get home to give it some life, and write a final entry when we have had time to reflect. Other than that, we're nearly done. It's been brilliant.
Nice beaches but the "farmer" is so annoying

I spent almost a week in Negril, a long stretch of beaches along the western tip of Jamaica. Very popular with tourists. I walked the beach several times and I've been annoyed by the "farmers" and the like on a regular basis. They are sometimes aggressive. Better to walk along the road than the beach at night to/from the restaurant for obvious reasons. Nice sunsets.

I love Negril

... and scary-scary high), and a swimming pool. We spent all day in and out of the water. I tried diving in from the medium jump, and my back is still sore. We had fun in the sun until it started raining; at that point we headed back to downtown Negril to catch a bus out of town. We reached home at 7:30 last night, but it felt like we had been gone for a week! Overall it was a great, great time. I got to hang out with a bunch of cool people in a very pretty and relaxing environment.

A much more "native" Jamaica.

... I could do. Sitting in the parking lot at Sangster airport, listening to reggae in the car, was the crappiest thing I've had to do! Oddly enough it rained the day I arrived and rained again when I was leaving. That just makes the sadness WORSE! We sang to the music a while, then it was time for me to check in. Ugghh. Oh did I mention in the last entry about the crying when the plane takes off? LOL.... Jamaica soon come......AGAIN! To be continued........
