    ... the second floor on top of an old grain room. They turned out to be Barred Owls that serenaded us nightly with "Who cooks for you?" We were very fortunate to be able to check on them occasionally and watch them hatch, do all the ugly stuff birds do, and then watch them as they fledged and flew the coop.

    JD volunteered to help with the assembly of a stack of new picnic tables for the campground. When he showed up they handed him a paint roller instead of a hammer.
