6 months quickly passed since I became a "resident" of Bali. My visa expired, so I had to take a trip to Singapore to apply for another visa to return to Indonesia. It's a short flight of 2.5 hrs, but I had to wake up at 4am to catch the first flight out and I will be arriving back home at midnight. This is going to be a loooooong day. I was really hoping it would open up, as a big Singapore storm is something to see - or perhaps you don't see it so much, given vision can be limited so much (I saw one from the BHPB office over here once, and struggled to see buildings next door). We weren't disappointed. The air was indeed cool, and we were greeted by a huge waterfall inside the dome. The water was spraying everywhere, on everyone and making the ground wet, but everybody cheerfully took pictures in front of the waterfall. We did too.

Singapore is an interesting mix of indian, chinese and malay culture. They speak singlish, which is really a combination of the main languages spoken in Singapore - english, malay, tamil and dialects of mandarin.
