Wine me baby :)

While studying abroad in Sydney, some mates and I went down to the
wineries for the day. I must say this is the stand out winery that we
went to. Everyone was helpful, and the wine was fantastic. I bought my
parents' some bottles to send home. And the dessert wine I had was the
best ever. This winery is highly recommended, I haven't been to a
better one since.

Hunter Valley.....it's free wine for everyone!!

Hi all.....yep i am totally guilty of neglecting the blog since i left the comfort of my brothers where the PC was in the bedroom so I'm doing a quick quick update of where I've been and will add the details later (probably when i get home, just over 2 weeks left now, boo hoo!)

Hunter valley is hilarious and for a wine lover like me quite enjoyable but also expensive!! You basically go to all the cellar doors of the wineries and taste their goods - if you like any you buy it, if not yo...

Okay. Tonight is my last night in my own bed for 6 months. Now that is a scary thought... It has been brought to my attention that one must be signed in on this site in order to leave a comment on this blog. That's a shame, as I hardly expect people to all sign nup for an account just to leave a comment. So, until such a time as I find out whether there is an option ...

Last day in Hunter Valley

... headed back, dusty, sweaty and covered in bits of grass and who knows what else (I was terrified I'd run over a snake and it would rear up and bite me!) Took a wee walk before dinner and watched the sun set over the vineyards, really lovely. Had a nice bottle of sparkly with dinner tonight (although Ivan still made the better choice in terms of main course). He had the scallops again to start, then a big pork chop ...

... for 'gambling anonymous'. We wrapped up a night of fun and total uniqueness with a couple of bedtime beers. The following day we had hoped to take a surfing lesson, however the waves were far too big, especially for the novices that we are, instead we spent the day lazing about the flat and going for a walk down to the supermarket for dinner. Jess was working late that night which left us to cook whatever we fancied. We decided on making use of the BBQ they had ...

The Great Escape

... Ska? I bought their CD as well. They have a lot of mexican influences, mainly I liked their instrumentals. I wish they had a Live version of their CD, because they were much better live then on the CD. The Herd(4.5) - Awesome band. I had heard on "Only 19" which is their big hit, and has been on the charts for quite some time. But the rest of their show and songs made me like the band even more. I decided to save ...

Christmas Day!

The last few weeks have been spent in Maitland and Sydney, staying with family, and catching up with friends. It's been great, although Christmas Eve was over 40 degrees, with a scorching hot wind! Oh, and another vineyard trip ensued, ostenisbly to buy wine for New Year's Eve. Much fun was had by all, but they closed the tasting rooms much too early! We'd only been to seven of ...
