We've been back a week now. The coach has been emptied, cleaned and put back in the storage lot until next trip. Clothes have been washed and put back on the rack or in the dresser. Food that was bought during the trip has been eaten and replaced by a trip to the market and Farmer's Market. And I have reviewed the costs and the statistics. We started out planning to drive at 55 using cruise control to keep our MPG as high as possible. Gas ranged from $3.65 per gallon in Eastport, FL to $3.45 ...

Dear Family and Friends,
Today we spent the day on a train excursion traveling on the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad, only 9 miles up the road from our hotel in Cherokee. Lasting 4.5 hours, the trip took us around 60 miles round ...
... and realized that you cannot run away from your calling. What am I going to do? Pray for patience, I know..someone will care
After my training, I was pumped and went to the national forest here called Conagree National Park. It was not that large, but had beautiful large trees. The man said that they had some of the largest trees in the East Coast. I took lots of pictures as you can see. I took a jog around the boardwalk ...

South of the Border is this rediculous stop on I 95 just south of the South Carolina and North Carolina border. Hence the name. Anyway, they have huge dinasour statues, gift shops, and terrible food. I have been wanting to check it out all summer and I'm stoked I finally did. I bought a bag some nic nacs and a tank top. Tyler got a blanket.
We didn't take any pictures. It just wasn't that kind of a visit.
... up at this very awesome bar with fish nets and stuffed fish on the walls called The Salty Nut. Thpogh the name didn't match the decor, it seemed like a fun place.
After a beer or two Ty and I realized that every guy in the bar had tan cacky shorts. Tyler had frayed cargo shorts and I was wearing jean shorts. We aparently didn't recieve the memo.
We didn't stay out too long.
... find a spot (even though this one is in a back alley.) Joey puts another $2 of quarters into the meter and says "Oh, that sucks this cars meter is expired" .......................
Then, he looks at the meter machine, front and back ... Whats this?? A special message on the back which said that metered parking was for 9am - 6pm (it is now 8pm.) Awesome!
Don't they say that South Carolinians are known to be so ...

Im going to go visit some family, my grandma sister is not doing very well, so Im going to pop in there and spend some time with Jane and Jack on my way back to Charlotte.Over all HH was good, Java Joes has great food and coffee and Callahans is a good Steeler bar and burger and fries were good, but their grilled cheese sammich is to die for!
Hilton Head, South Carolina, United States albert413Wow! A whilrlwind of fun, food, sightseeing, sharing family stories and memories! Mom's having a great time - and so are we! Taking lots of pictures and keeping really busy, so will place a map pin and maybe upload a couple of pictures for now!
Hilton Head, South Carolina, United States pykesonthego... So, we were in bed by 10:00 p.m. That gave us an early start this morning. We were on the road by 8:30 a.m. If we drive straight thru, our ETA would be midnight. However, we will not drive straight thru. With the snow fat home, we will not be able to pull the camper and truck into the driveway. So, we will stop overnight and arrive early afternoon tomorrow. :-)
