    ... volleyball but didn't realise she was still here. She has been attending Illinois State University for 3 years on a scholarship to play volleyball. Her mum was visiting so she was spending a few days in Chicago before her mum left for Aus again. We caught up and chatted for a while, took a photo and went our separate ways.     ... me a great deal about the area in general! Corn and sunflowers are the main crops, with 425mm of rainfall and pretty cold winters - apparently the Interstate get closed off for days at a time because of the snow! While on the Interstate, yesterday we had come across roadworks that went on for 15kms with the 2 eastbound lanes being completely rebuilt!     ... from Illinois, through Iowa into Minnesota in our longest drive yet--432 miles. Tomorrow, we're continuing through Minnesota into South-Dakota. The hotel we're staying in is a typical highway motel. It has a sign saying that "bikers are welcome".     ... about 6, and we covered quite a distance. We crossed the Mississippi River, and we crossed through Iowa, and covered almost all of Minnesota, and stayed the night in Jackson, Minnesota. We travelled the I-20 through Illinois up to Waterloo where we took the 218 up to the I-90. We traveled the I-90 for the rest of the way.     ... family does the Woswit foods (pennsylvania dutch food) that was very cool makes you feel a little at home to talk about home stuff so far away. Well i dont have much else must go to bed for another early day tomorrow.

    P.S. Ken,Shane said he talked to you about an island vacation. I do believe a Mai Tai on a beach is sounding pretty good about now. :) :)
