My second day in Cassville Missouri. I woke up with a terrible head cold and the onset of laryngitis. Stayed in bed until about 9:30. Finally dragged myself out of bed and got on the bike as the weather was fantastic. Stopped by the Pharmacy for some meds to help the cold and then went on a 6.75 ...
... only one that I had ever met before was my Granddaughter Kya. She is now 11 and I have not seen her since she was a baby. It was a fun madhouse getting everyone settled for dinner and all of us talking, it seemed like all at once.
Not many pics today because I was too busy talking with my grand children. Many more pics to come in the next two weeks.
... with restaurants and fancy gift shops (the kind you wouldn’t let your kids in) and restaurants everywhere. I walked around for 45 minutes and took a bunch of pictures and had lunch under a tree at a bistro on a hill. It was lovely, and all the better for being completely unplanned (if anyone’s keeping track that’s my first spontaneous moment of the trip).

... we might as well add another state to our list. So we headed west on Rt.44. Oops! It was a toll road with no services for miles, and miles and miles. As it turns out we were VERY low on fuel. Needless to say it was a VERY tense 30 minutes until we finally reached the first exit and were able to get off and get gas.
