... help being aware that Veterans are well respected. We came back to the harbour area called the Spanish Landing Park, bought a coffee and banana and sat at a table and proceeded to have our last picnic. The lady gave a lovely wave as she set off out into San Diego Bay. ...

It was just ...

After having pizza with Neal last night in a very small local joint and there being a trio playing music there (well I say music one song was Puff the magic Dragon!) and then one actually got up & was in Hawaiian dress and started doing a hula dance, I really felt like I was ready for anything the crazies in California could throw at me. Up at 5.30 so Neal could drive us to Solana Beach station to get the 6.43 Surfliner train to LA where we have ...

... It was cool to see many of the original facilities too, like the mess, laundry, chapel, and ready rooms, where pilots like the ones in Top Gun got their briefings before taking off.

Along the waterfront, we encountered many street performers, including what we originally thought was a statue, but turned out to be a multi-talented man in white. Next to him were two tip jars, one to tip for a performance and the other to tip ...
