... it with the not so typical guess 'Russia'! Clearly, they don't get many white people visiting! Anyway, we hopped on the bus and rode til the botanic gardens. They were huge-1/5 the size of Central Park! We didn't walk around the whole park but we made sure to visit the Orchid Garden and spot the local wildlife. We saw dragonflies, a wild chipmunk (I named him Charles) and a cat (I didn't name him)! If we'd had more time we'd have spent more ...

Today was our last day in Singapore and we didn't do much. After breakfast at the hotel we went for a walk along the river and then went into a shopping mall where it was much cooler just to pass the time. ... tradition throw peanut shells on the floor.Raffles has developed a lot in the 25 years since I was last here. Our afternoon trip finished with a Bum Boat trip down the river to the
Marina Bay where the Merlion spouts water into the bay.

Back to Chinatown for our evening meal - such a choice that we decided just to go to the first we looked at. A really excellent meal in pleasant air conditioned surroundings though we did succumb to the use of a knife and spoon!
